DAILY ROUND UP
"We need to revive our understanding of the deep power of the gift –– a particular bond in society as well as a human instinct. "
"Fundraising isn't seen as warm and cosy anymore. Unfortunately this space has become tired, we need to look at how we give back through a new, fresh, compassionate lens."
WHO ARE
WE?
We are a group of young, enthusiastic communications professionals who want to give back to the community. We care about a myriad of causes, but are losing faith in the current donating climate. We have found that young people feel a pressure when approached by a charity or organisation and instead of this pressure being a means of encouragement to donate, it’s a deterrent.

Old school marketing methods make individuals feel guilty, uncomfortable with little control over the situation. We have created Daily Round Up to bring back what the act of donating should be like, an exchange of kindness, of altruism and thinking of others. We have created a simple, reliable way for you to give back to the initiatives that you value.
No pressure, no power play –– you are in control.
Ellie Featherston
As young consumers we have experienced first hand the issues that surround donating to charities today. We all wanted to create something that gives people the means to integrate giving into their everyday routine. It is all about giving agency back to the people, and removing the ambiguity around giving to charities.

Why Daily Round Up is important >
I picture this as a tool everyone will have and use. It will be second nature, like checking your bank account. Daily Round Up will be on everyone’s phone, everyone will have an account. Initiatives in and around Melbourne will benefit from the boom in donations and users will see real change on their smartphones and in their community. Media will speak about this third party as one that has reinvigorated the charity space. Daily Round Up will be known for its trustworthiness, transparency and user control.

Daily Round Up brings donating back to its grassroots. It’s about kindness, good will and giving to causes we actually care about. I’m proud to be part of an initiative that not only supports worthy community causes, but also aids young people in discovering what things they care about most and why. It’s time to give a centuries-old tradition a 21st century twist and make sure that our technological proficiency doesn’t come at the cost of social connectedness.
Why I love this idea >

With so many competing time and financial pressures, it is so easy for charitable giving to be overlooked. By utilising modern technology, Daily Round Up takes away the excuses and provides a stress free avenue to donate to really worthy causes. There isn’t much that beats the warm fuzzy feeling you get from knowing that you’re helping in your own way.
